Biography
Dr. Mohammad Asif Khan is an accomplished academic and professional with over six years of experience in Pakistan's telecom sector. He earned his Ph.D. in Mobile Robotics from Aberystwyth University, UK, in 2021. Prior to this, he completed his M.S. in Computer Science at Sukkur IBA University in 2012, graduating as a Gold Medalist, and his B.E. in Computer Systems from Quaid-e-Awam University in 2007, securing first position and earning a Silver Medal as the second-highest faculty scorer. Before joining academia, Dr. Khan worked with Mobilink as a Fiber Optic Operations Network Specialist Engineer, gaining extensive experience in Optical Fiber Network deployment projects, SDH, DWDM, and IP-MPLS, as well as in the operation and maintenance of Optical Fiber OSP. Since 2013, he has been serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Sukkur IBA University. He also held a part-time Associate Lecturer role at Aberystwyth University. Dr. Khan’s research interests span Mobile Robotics, Computer Vision, and IoT.
