Biography
Dr. Ghulam Murtaza Memon had conferred Ph.D. in data mining from the University of Malaya, Kula Lumpur, Malaysia in March 2021. He also earned MSCS in Software Engineering in Dec. 2013 from PAF-KIET Karachi Pakistan. He was awarded BSc. (Hons.) CS and MSc. CS in 1997 from Sindh University Jamshoro Pakistan. He worked as a team leader in the KPMG PSSL software house in Karachi. Moreover, he served as lecturer CS in FUAAST University Karachi and COMSATS University Vehari. He joined SIBAU as Assistant Professor CS in August 2014. As a researcher, he published many articles in SCI/JCR impact factor journal. His core research area is deep learning-based breast cancer detection and classification using histopathology images. Apart from breast cancer classification, he has few other publications using machine learning algorithms like face forgery detection, offline signature verification, and human activity recognition. Furthermore, a few contributions are also published in designing energy-efficient wireless sensor network protocols. His teaching interests are Machine learning, Computer Vision, Deep learning, Data Science, Data Mining and warehousing, Digital image processing, Theory of automata, Compiler construction, Data Structures, Software Engineering, Software quality assurance, Agile software development, Languages/tools like Python, Weka, MATLAB, SPSS, Java and C++.
