A version of a piece of software that is made available for testing, typically by a limited number of users outside the company that is developing it, before its general release.
Dr. Afaque Manzoor is an Assistant Professor in the Electrical Engineering Department at Sukkur IBA University and leads the AMMEL Lab-Laboratory Advanced Micro Mechatronics and Energy Lab.
Dr. Afaque received his Ph.D. in Mechatronics Engineering and soft Robotics from the Jeju National University (JNU) and then worked as a Senior Research fellow in the same lab. He also taught a module on Advanced Printed Electronics to Postgraduate students at JNU. His research interests are primarily in soft (active) materials, soft robotics, emerging electronics, wearable health monitoring, and 3D/4D printing of multifunctional materials. He has authored over 35 research papers in SCI/SCIE IF international journals. He is currently serving as Academic Editor for the Journal of Robotics (IF 1.8), Editorial Board Member for AI, Computer Science and Robotics Technology, and Guest Editor for Frontiers in Electronics
