Biography
Mr. Abdul Basit Bhatti has been a faculty member at Sukkur IBA University since 2017. His areas of Specialization are Macroeconomics and Applied Econometrics. In addition to this, Mr. Basit also served as Assistant Economic Adviser (BS-18) at the Ministry of Finance, Government Of Pakistan from December 3, 2020, to January 26, 2024, on a Deputation basis. While working with the Finance Division Islamabad he has earned rich experience in economic policy formulation, implementation, and analysis. Especially the budgetary policy of the Government of Pakistan. Furthermore, he contributed as an author of three Chapters (Health & Nutrition, Transport & Communication & Information Technology) in the Economic Survey Of Pakistan, 2021-22. He also remained part of the Economic Team that was tasked to write 75 years of the Economic Journey of Pakistan.
