Green Office
Green Office Sukkur IBA was started in collaboration with World Wide Fund (WWF) for nature Pakistan for environmental sustainability. The aims of the program are to create awareness among the Sukkur IBA community, to reduce their burden on the natural environment, slow down climate change by reducing carbon emission, to increase the sustainability of the institute by continuous efforts for reduction on environmental burden and the use of natural resources in a positive manner. Sukkur IBA has wide sustainability principles and is committed to reducing its Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions. Green (environmentally sustainable) buildings contribute to improved health, comfort and productivity of their residents by utilizing more natural light and promoting better air quality.

Environmental Sustainable Initiatives:
Solar Energy System: For energy conservation and saving natural resources, Solar Energy System has been installed at Sukkur IBA. The specification of this system covers the supply of photo voltaic solar system that is operated in conjunction with a D.C generating set (the association solar invertors) to provide necessary AC power supplies to Sukkur IBA. This project will produce 600 KW of electricity through solar energy system.
ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning): ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) is designed to implement paperless environmental practices at Sukkur IBA. The term refers to the system of integrated applications, which are used to operate the automations and processes of the organization.
HCM (Human Capital Management System): automates the operations related to HR. It provides the self service options for all the employees where employees can perform various online actions like applying for leave, fill the form of performance appraisal, view pay slips, and maintain personal information, qualification and experience.
FSCM (Financials and Supply Chain Management): automates the operations related to finance and procurement department. Apart from departmental specific operation, it also provides self-service for all the employees where users can generate online inventory and purchase requisitions.
LMS (Learning Management System): LMS (Learning Management System) is implemented for online academic activities. This system is designed to promote paperless environment. A learning management system (LMS) is a software application or Web-based technology used to plan, implement, and assess a specific learning process. Typically, a learning management system facilitates instructors in creating and delivering content, monitoring student participation, and assessing student performance.
CMS (Campus Management System): Campus Management System is designed to implement paperless environmental practices at Sukkur IBA Campus. It is unique and comprehensive software. CMS at Sukkur IBA acts as a bridge of communication between students, faculty and management of the institute. It hosts the features that allow users to maintain academic history of students with complete transparency in records and provide a medium for teachers, staff and administration to work in harmony.
Green Marketing: approach is implemented for promoting sustainable environment through various promotional activities at Sukkur IBA.
Green HR: Green HR approach is implemented to promote paperless environment at Sukkur IBA. Online recruitment process has been initiated. In this connection online forms are available at the official website of Sukkur IBA for applicants and online recruitment test is also conducted for various positions.
Events:
WWF Green Office Audit: (Thursday, August 24, 2017) : World Wide Fund (WWF) for nature Pakistan conducted audit for renewal of Green Office Sukkur IBA University. On Thursday, August 24, 2017 meeting was also conducted with officials of WWF Ms. Nazifa Butt Manager Environmental Assessment, Ms Fatima Khan officer Green Office and Green team Sukkur IBA University. They also visited Sukkur IBA University where they observed implementation of Green Office practices. Furthermore, they interacted with staff, faculty and students. WWF Officials were very much satisfied and very happy with implementation of Green Office practices and appreciated the awareness among staff, faculty and students. Workshop was also arranged on the topic of “Waste Management and Recycling”, on Friday, August 25, 2017.The trainer Ms. Nazifa Butt briefed about the efficient usage of waste material and how new products can be made out of used material.
Earth Day 2017: (Saturday, April 22, 2017) Sukkur IBA Green Office (Go Green Society) celebrated Earth Day on Saturday, 22 April 2017. Earth Day is celebrated worldwide for supporting Environmental protection. Students of Sukkur IBA made models to showcase different problems our planet is facing and their remedies. Prizes and certificates were distributed among the winners.
Flower Exhibition: (Friday, March 17, 2017) Flower Exhibition was organized by Go Green Society (Green Office). The purpose of the event was to share the importance and beauty of flowers. More than 50 various kinds of flowers were planted there.
National Green Day: (Thursday, February9, 2017) Sukkur IBA Go Green Society (Green Office) celebrated National Green Day on Thursday, February 9, 2017. The purpose of the event was to spread message of caring plants and to sensitize Sukkur IBA Community on the social and spiritual importance of plants. It was a part of Plantation Campaign of Green Pakistan Program 2017. Students, faculty and staff members wrote comments about plantation.
Recycling Contest 2016 (November 21, 2016) Sukkur IBA has always taken many initiatives to foster creativity in students; keeping up with the same tradition this year Sukkur IBA Go Green Society (Green Office) organized Recycling Competition on November 21, 2016 for students. The purpose of that event was to bring students at one platform to make creative and usable products out of used material. In the event, participants were given one hour time for making products from recyclable raw material. Participants of the event made tremendous and creative products. The winners were awarded with cash prizes.

Green Clean Weak (October 17, 2016) Sukkur IBA Go Green Society (Green Office) organized Clean and Green Week from October 17-21, 2016. During the week members of society reminded the students how to keep environment clean at garden areas of the Campus. Student also participated in picking up the litter to ensure cleanliness across Sukkur IBA Campus.
Earth Hour 2016: (March 19, 2016) Sukkur IBA Go Green Society (Green Office) celebrated the Earth Hour 2016 on Saturday, March 19 by observing complete electricity shut down for an hour from 08:30 pm to 09:30 pm at the campus. Earth Hour is a global campaign promoting energy conservation for the mitigation of climate change and global warming. WWF – Pakistan has been observing Earth Hour for last 7 years and being member, SUKKUR IBA also observes Earth Hour within the campus premises. During that hour, campus lights are turned off to show that we care about the planet.
Recycling Contest 2015 (October 8, 2015) Sukkur IBA Go Green Society organized Recycling Contest on 8th October 2015. The purpose of that event was to analyze the creativity of students and how they could make creative products by using already used material. The event went very successful and achieved the objectives.
